I look to Trivikram for advice, says Nithiin

Shilpi Sharma, who was missing from Tollywood for the past three years, has just signed a new film. While the actress awaits the release of her Malayalam film Thrissivaperoor Kliptham, she returns to Telugu cinema in a film starring Aadi Saikumar.

Shilpi, who was last seen in Current Teega in Telugu, will play Aadi’s love interest in the forthcoming entertainer, directed by debutante Viswanath Arigella. Talking about the film, Shilpi says, “When the director narrated the story to me, I felt it had great potential to be a box office winner. It’s a great script and my role was interestingly etched. It’s like a breath of fresh air for me.”

On why she took a three year hiatus to do a film in Tollywood, she explains, “I had been getting offers, but I was keen to play roles that have substance that make a difference. Also, I have been doing Kannada and Malayalam films, but now, my upcoming Telugu film features me in a meaty role.”
